At WordsUP.com we are committed to protecting the
privacy of our customers, which is why we do not sell,
rent, or loan any personal identifiable information
regarding our customers to any third party without
their express consent. We hope the policy below will
answer all of your questions regarding how we treat
information gathered from visitors to wordsUP.com.
Feel free to contact us with any questions you have.
The purpose of this WordsUP privacy policy is to inform you, as a welcome
visitor to WordsUP.com, what kinds of information we may gather about you
when you visit WordsUP.com, how we may use that information, whether we
disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and
your ability to correct, the information.
This policy applies only to WordsUP.com and not to other companies' or
organizations' Web sites to which we link. You should carefully review
the privacy policies of those web sites in order to determine how they
treat your personal information.
Information About All WordsUP.com Visitors
In general, our site automatically gathers certain usage information like
the numbers and frequency of visitors to WordsUP.com and its areas, much
like television ratings that tell the networks how many people tuned in to a
program. Such data is only used in the aggregate. This aggregate data helps
us determine how much our customers use different parts of the site, so we
can make improvements and assure that it is as appealing as we can make it
for as many of you as possible. We may provide statistical "ratings"
information, never information about you personally, to our WordsUP, Inc.
partners, advertisers, sponsors, and other companies with whom we do
business about how our users, collectively, use WordsUP.com in order for
them to provide you with the best possible Web experience. These statistical
ratings do not contain any personally identifiable information about you or
any of our users.
Cookies
WordsUP may use a standard technology nicknamed "cookies" that tells
us how and when pages in our site are visited, and by how many people. We
use cookies to make your visit to our website easier. The use of cookies has
become an industry standard used by most major Web sites. Most browsers are
initially set up to accept cookies. If you prefer, you can reset your
browser to notify you when you've received a cookie or, alternatively, to
refuse to accept cookies. Personally identifiable information is not
collected by these cookies and we do not combine information collected
through these cookies with other personally identifiable information to tell
us who you are or even what your screen name or e-mail address is. Please
continue to review our privacy policy from time to time so that you are
aware of our current policy with respect to cookies.
WordsUP, its advertisers and ad servers may also use cookies, as well as
small pieces of code called "web beacons" or "clear gifs," to determine on
an anonymous basis which advertisements and promotions users have seen and
how users responded to them, but do not use these technologies to collect
personally identifiable information unless you give us permission to do so.
IP Addresses
We collect and analyze traffic on our web site by keeping track
of the IP addresses of our visitors. An IP address is a unique number
assigned to your computer when you are using your browser on the Internet.
We log this information so that we can monitor things like the number of
visitors visiting the web site; however, we do not link your IP address to
any personally identifying information.

If you have chosen to receive communications

surveys to gauge user interest in new products and premiums we may offer. We
will ask for your feedback on site features. We will use the information we
gather to improve our site and provide a more meaningful experience for our
users. We may also use the information to alert you to offers and products
from WordsUP.com or to inform you of third-party products/services that we
believe might be of interest to you. We will not sell, rent, or share
personally identifiable information to third parties without your express
consent. If you do sign up to receive information from WordsUP and later
change your mind, you are free at any time to opt-out by following the
procedures outlined in Opt-Out/Changing Your Status, below.

We share and disclose such information only as
follows: WordsUP.com will send personally identifiable information about you

the personally identifiable information we provide them beyond what is
necessary to assist us).

secure environment. When placing an order by credit card, this information
is also used by our secure payment processing firm, Authorize.net, along
with your credit card information, for the sole purpose of processing your

Use of Information You Provide
Personal Information is acquired only for the
purposes of fulfilling orders, providing a high level of customer service,
gaining knowledge internally regarding what our customers want and mailing

receiving e-mail from us, you can always remove your name from our mailing
list by sending an e-mail via Contact Us stating that you wish
to unsubscribe and indicating in the subject line of the e-mail "NO E-MAIL".
Disclosure Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above policies, we reserve the
right to disclose your personal information to appropriate third-parties if
we are required to do so by law or we believe that such action is necessary:
- To comply with legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court
order;
- To protect the company's rights and property;
- To investigate reports of users sending material using a false e-mail
address or users sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages;
- To protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our web site and/or the
WordsUP.com service; or during emergencies, such as when we believe
someone's physical safety is at risk.
Security of the Information You Provide
Access to your Personal Information
is provided only to our employees and agents who have a need to know such
information for the purpose of fulfilling your order and offering our high
level of customer service. For payment processing, we've chosen
Authorize.net, a leader in internet security transactions, to process credit
card transactions. Authorize.net provides sophisticated encryption and
authentication tools to protect the security of your credit card
information. Specifically, every page in the ordering process that requests
credit card information uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, which is
designed to render information unreadable should anyone try to intercept it.
The SSL technology is today's standard of exchanging confidential
information over the internet. You can tell you are sending information
securely by the unbroken key icon or closed lock icon on that should appear
at the bottom of your internet browser's window (depending on what browser
you use). These icons will appear when you are processing your credit card
payment. In addition, you will see our site address change slightly, from
http: to https: indicating a secure server connection is being used.
Your Acceptance of these Terms
By using our Web site, you agree to accept
the wordsUP.com privacy policy. Make sure you read this policy carefully,
because if you do choose to use our Web site, you automatically agree to
this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Web
site. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or
remove portions of this policy at any time. Please check this page
periodically for changes. Your continued use of our Web site following the
posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
Contests and Promotions
Occasionally, WordsUP.com may sponsor contests
and/or promotions on our sites or in our e-mail products. Participation in
such contests is purely voluntary. In order to enter a contest or promotion,
you may be asked to provide personally identifiable information. Any
personally identifiable information you provide in conjunction with any
contest shall become the property of WordsUP and you hereby consent to
receive special promotions and offers from WordsUP and its advertisers,
consistent with this Privacy Policy. In the event that you are awarded any
prizes or other consideration, you give WordsUP permission to use your name,
likeness, portrait, recorded voice, and biographical information to
advertise, publicize, or promote WordsUP, its products and services, and no
additional consideration shall be paid for such rights. By entering, you
agree to all of its terms and conditions, which will be clearly outlined in
the rules. Where a contest or promotion is not sponsored by WordsUP.com, the
identity of the sponsor will be clearly disclosed in the rules. Neither
WordsUP.com nor its affiliates can be responsible for actions or policies of
third-party contest sponsors. Users are encouraged to review the relevant
privacy policy of the sponsor before entering.
Sale of Assets
In the event that WordsUP, Inc. and/or its affiliates or
subsidiaries are ever sold, acquired, merged, liquidated, reorganized, or
otherwise transferred, we reserve the right to transfer our user databases
together with any personally identifiable information contained therein, to
a third-party acquiring WordsUP, Inc.'s assets. In the event we do so, we
will place a prominent notice of the sale on the homepage of our site, with
links to information as to how you can change your privacy preferences.
Use Common Sense in all your Online Activities
Even the best policy can't
protect your online privacy and security in all circumstances. Unscrupulous
advertisers, hackers, and scam artists may be searching the Internet looking
for new targets. Your best protection is to understand the limits to privacy
on the Internet and use common sense in all of your on-line activities.
Be aware that e-mail is an inherently insecure form of communication.
Remember that third parties are sometimes able to illegally intercept your
unencrypted messages, including online greetings. Anytime you visit a chat
room or post a message to an on-line bulletin board, your e-mail address can
be accessed by advertisers looking to compile lists for unsolicited
commercial e-mail (also known as spam). Beware of scams in which persons
unknown to you request your screen name, password, or credit card
information. Make sure you verify the identity of anyone asking for personal
information.
If you have any questions about the privacy policy, please feel free to
Contact Us.
